Parenting is hard.

As a parent, it’s your job to help raise your children, to guide them through life and give them their basic foundational skills to grow and thrive.  As a parent, you want to allow your children to grow their roots and spread their branches.  You want to be able to do that with joy, appreciation, connection, and to grow yourself.

Being a parent is hard.

Help is here.

Parent Coaching with Libby can help you find resilience, calm, and strength.

Sometimes it feels like you are parenting in survival mode, just trying to get from one step to the next.  Sometimes it feels like you’re just moving through the motions, but without a real end or goal in sight.  Sometimes you’re just satisfied that your children are simply fed, clothed and off to school.  It feels like you’re exhausted, burnt out, and you can’t find joy in being with your children anymore.

But, you don’t have to feel this way!  You can parent with purpose and with joy!

Parent Coaching with Libby can help you move from survive to thrive!

“And with this process comes the opportunity to see more deeply into who your children are becoming…”
~Kim John Payne, Simplicity Parenting

What do you want as a parent?

What is your dream for your children?

What do you want your relationship with your children to be?

How can you become the parent you are dreaming of being?

Parent Coaching with Libby can get you there.

Parent coaching is individualized, meaningful and purposeful.

I grew as a human first, and then as a mother.  [Parent coaching with Libby] had immediate impacts and I saw changes in my behavior and thinking that directly impacted my parenting and then – my kid!  This work wasn’t fluff or just a feel-good circle.  It was tangible, specific and applicable.  I had genuine ah-ha moments.  ~Meg C.

So… what is Parent Coaching?

Parent coaching is a collaborative process where you will discover your parenting strengths and re-frame your struggles.  You will gain concrete and practical tools which you will use to empower your parenting.

During your parent coaching sessions, I provide you with a safe space, without judgment, for you to explore who you are and who you want to be as a parent.  I don’t give you the answers but rather coach you to find solutions for you and your family.  You will have the opportunity to grow as a human and as a parent.  Parent coaching provides you with guided, one-on-one, customized sessions.  Together we will work to find clarity about what you and your family need.  I will help you go from survive to thrive.

Parent Coaching with Libby is not a one-size-fits-all model.  It’s not a book or podcast designed to reach everyone but help few.  Every family is unique and every coaching session is focused on your individual needs and goals as a parent.  The toolkit we design together is for you and your family.  We’ll set priorities, boundaries and (yes) dreams for your family.  We will work at your pace.  This is self-care.  We will create the space for you to best take care of your family and create the conditions for your parenting success.

“As children don’t come with directions, parents need to find an approach that gives them a sense of confidence.”
~Jane Nelson, Positive Discipline A-Z

Develop your “Parenting Toolbox”

Parent Coaching with Libby will help you to build YOUR “Parenting Toolbox” – essentially, the personalized “parenting instruction manual” you wish you’d received when you became a parent.

[Parent Coaching with Libby] helped me to better my strategies for raising our kids.  I have better emotional awareness of my children as well as myself.  It helped me identify my weakness as a parent and [gave me] incremental and measurable ways [to] improve.
~ Mathew H.

What tools will fill your Parenting Toolbox?  What skills, strategies and techniques will you learn?

  • Connect and communicate better as a family
  • Be proactive, instead of reactive
  • Observe what is really going on in your family’s interactions
  • Set priorities based on your own values
  • Set boundaries for you, your co-parent/partner, your children and your whole family
  • Use empathy and compassion when addressing your children and your co-parent/partner and still be effective in your decisions and discipline

  • Find your “parenting wins” and turn struggles into opportunities for growth
  • Find gratitude and enjoy your children
  • Develop effective communication with your partner so you can function as a team
  • Let go of “shoulds,” “what-ifs,” guilt, and shame
  • Parent with confidence
  • See your child more clearly through the context of child development and developmental milestones
  • Understand your parenting better through the lens of your own childhood and life journey
  • Address your child’s emotions while also acknowledging your own emotions
  • Learn about human development and relationships through the context of neuroscience
  • Understand your child’s specific needs better with parenting education specific to Autism, ADHD, sensory integration, developmental milestones, and/or other concerns.

The more tools you have, the more you can teach your children.

Parent Coaching for parents of children with special needs

Do you have a child (or children) with developmental disabilities?  Are you struggling with a child with learning difficulties?  A diagnosis of Autism?  ADHD?  Sensory Processing Disorder?  Picky eating?

Are you looking to find answers on how to meet your child, understand their needs, and deal with their behaviors?

I can help you!  As an Occupational Therapist, I have specialized in pediatrics and working with children with developmental disabilities.  I understand your children, and I understand you!  I can help you through Parent Coaching to build your parenting toolbox so that you can use proven skills to meet your child with compassion and connection!

I did not realize how much this program was needed for our family.  Libby provided a safe place for us to open our hearts, and our minds.  More importantly it became a place to be honest, be vulnerable, to learn, and grow.  Libby’s exceptional design and execution of our parent coaching journey was special, as it was custom built with consideration of our family’s unique circumstances.  ~Jennifer M.

What sets me apart from other parent coaches?

  • I am an experienced Occupational Therapist.  I provide a lens with expertise on child development and children with special needs.
  • I understand how to meet children with special needs and give them space for connection and growth.
  • As a licensed Occupational Therapist, I help children improve sensory integration, picky eating, daily living skills, and reach developmental milestones.
  • I have three children of my own.  I intimately understand being a working parent and the struggles that come with the role.
  • As a person with ADHD, I know what it’s like to be neurodivergent and overcome obstacles to gain independence and confidence.
  • I have watched myself grow and learn parenting skills (and have learned to manage my own anger and emotions) through my own parent coaching journey!
